Name Writing Cards – A–D

Pre-cursive name writing cards.

This A–D pack contains over 200 individual names.

Perfect for Nursery, Reception, Year 1, EYFS settings, intervention groups or for practising at home.

Each name has its own double-sided card.

Front – Name Writing

The front of each card focuses on the child's name and uses a clear pre-cursive handwriting style.The cards use an Earth, Grass and Sky writing guide to help children understand where letters sit:

• Sky – for tall letters and ascenders

• Grass – where most letters sit

• Earth – for letters with descenders

Children can see the correct letter formation and starting points before practising the name themselves.

The cards are designed to support children as they move from recognising their name → tracing it → forming the letters independently.

Reverse – Number Formation

Numerals 0–9.

This means that every card can be used for both name writing and early number formation, making them ideal for continuous provision, handwriting areas, morning activities and independent practice.

Print them, laminate them and children can use a whiteboard pen to practise again and again.
