I am delighted to introduce my new Nursery Continuous Provision Challenge Cards.

Following the success of the Reception Continuous Provision Challenge Cards, many teachers and practitioners asked whether I would create a version specifically for Nursery children. This resource has been designed with younger learners in mind and contains a wide range of simple, engaging and developmentally appropriate challenges to support learning through play.

The cards can be placed directly into your continuous provision areas and are designed to encourage children to explore, investigate, create, communicate and develop their independence whilst still enjoying child-led play.

The resource covers the same 9 areas of provision but with a slight variation with writing named as mark making:

• Construction

• Small World

• Role Play

• Maths

• Creative

• Sand

• Water

• Playdough

• Mark Making

Each challenge has been carefully written for Nursery-aged children and supports learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The cards are ideal for:

Simply print, laminate and place in your provision areas or hand to a supporting adult to provide children with additional inspiration and challenge throughout the year.

As a teacher myself, I know how difficult it can be to find resources that are both practical and engaging. My aim was to create a resource that saves preparation time whilst helping children get the most out of their play.
